Residential
Along the Boardwalk
Location: Sebago Lake, Maine

The owners spent many summers in their small waterside camp just 30′ from Sebago Lake. They loved it for the water and the time they spent outdoors. There goals were to retain the outdoor lifestyle with more space and privacy for their family and guests.

Project Spotlight

The site was extremely narrow with a seasonal stream running across it and into Sebago Lake. The owners wanted a 3 bedroom home on the property they had been spending summers on for years. In order to navigate the many restrictions on this tight site, and utilize the footprint of the original camp just 30′ from the water, we broke the home into three shapes, eliminated indoor circulation, and celebrated camp style living in Maine. An outdoor boardwalk connects each of these three spaces: Primary suite + guest bedrooms/bathroom + the lakeside living and eating space.
