Chris grew up in a rural suburb of Schenectady, New York. He was born into the time when kids played outside all day until a whistle called him back for dinner.  He was an avid biker from an early age both practically to sports practices or friend’s houses, and as a means of adventure and autonomy planning trips as far as he could get out and back in a day. That endless road helped foster an excitement for challenges and an intense curiosity for what is around the next corner. Open fields, mysterious forests, or small towns passed with a quiet wind throughout these days.  The persistent question of ‘what if’ or ‘how can we make that better’ is the result of those years.  Those questions are a central motivator for the office as we have the privilege from our clients to put on their shoes and dream for them.

Chris holds a BA from Lehigh University and Master of Architecture from University of Washington in Seattle. He has practiced architecture in Seattle, Raleigh, Lehigh Valley Pennsylvania, and in Southern Maine, where he has lived with his family for over 20 years. He is a wood worker, a water and snow skier and loves playing competitive sports. When he is not in the office, he prefers to be somewhere- anywhere- with his wife and 3 kids. His only son, Zach is the last-one-standing in the house. The 2 girls have made their way down South and are exploring what it’s like to live without a mud season- and a mud room. What could they possibly be missing?
