Modern Ranch

This is a redesign for a 2-bedroom modern ranch-style home on a woodsy lot in Southern Maine in order to reduce cost. See '3-Pavilions' for the original design. We simplified the shape and subsequent framing of it predecessor, downgraded some of the vaulted spaces, and modified the palette of finishes, inside and out. The design offers a dedicated primary suite, open plan, area for a grand piano, a vaulted living space and platform decks that extend from the main spaces into a naturalized landscape to the south. The South facing roofs allow for a full solar panel array.
